I"ve had a persistent fault code 27 problem and thought I had it solved several times but it seems to keep coming back. Well, today I think I isolated it to a bad connection between the injector and it's connector. Seems that if I jiggle the connector with the engine running I get a rough running and code 27. The connector is loose. Is there a way to tighten the connector with out having to replace the sub harness or the connector itself?

    Cheers - Jeepjoc

I had a rat chew through one of my injector wiring, I pulled one from my 97 and soldered it in. Good as new.
I do prefer the ones from my 97 though as they have a tab on each side to push and release rather than having to pull a clip and pry them off as I had to do with my 93. I will likely swap them all over eventually but was just trying to make sure the engine transplant (from the 97) worked.
A pull a part type junk yard would be another good source, look for an XJ Cherokee up until about 98 or 99 I believe.
No more expensive than the aftermarket part is though you might as well go with a new one.
