Stuff the area with spray in foam to control that warbling rumbling background noise.

You won't be able to tell the difference between it and all the dried mud and rocks collected from the off-roading trips.

Received a voicemail from Jeep Customer care. They claim that because I was installing "aftermarket" parts the warranty would not cover my issue. Funny how I never mentioned the brand of the items I was installing. I also don't see what I was installing has to do with a manufacturers defect.

The Jeep has been sent to a body shop for an estimate. Once received, Jeep will decide their next step, if any.

Thanks for the heads up. Unless they do it on their own, I'll take it to a better dealership for that.

    I got my Jeep back!

Attached is a picture of the work order. They called the repair a "One time goodwill repair". Generous considering that the issue was caused by a factory defect. They also said that Mopar side steps do not require body bolt removal. Steps, no, but the Mopar premium rock sliders (not the rails), I believe, do.

Regardless, the Jeep is back with me. None the worse for wear. The sliders go back on this weekend.

How are you liking the JCR sliders?
Would they a good step for a 6yo into the back seat?

I know you had the bolt problem but that was not an issue with the steps.

The sliders are great. They would work well as steps. I stand on mine to wash the roof so a 6yo should find them helpful. I have mine wrinkle powder coated so they have a little bit of grip to them.
