The code reader that Prerunner recommends will give you live data. It was less than$40 on Amazon. BAFX I think is the brand.

It's unfortunate that Wranglers lack adequate OEM oil pan/trans protection

Remove the tranny mount bolts, and lift the rear of the transmission up a few inches. That will give you the clearance needed to get to them.

Metal Cloak and Rock Hard both have great Belly protection for the JKU.

MC+RH make great protection but if they bust your budget there are less expensive brands that can provide protection as any protection will be better than none.
    Waiting for your story....

Hey jkbob how ya been man.!. Anyways it started Tuesday morning on the way to work. My boss is in front of me with almost a 3k load of lumber for our job. We stoped at a stop sign like normal he took off didn’t see the bump hit the bump and all the ratchetstraps broke off and the wood slid out right in front of the Jeep.:annoyed::censored: So I went to back up but couldn’t there was 15 cars behind me and no one would be cool n let me back up so I had to go over it cause I wasn’t ganna have my Jeep in the middle of the intersection in the ghetto. So I went over all the wood I heard a loud smack. Thought to myself eh it was just wood hitting the driveshaft or something. Got out of the Jeep and looked. Nothing was leaking at this point and time. So loaded up the lumber strapped it down with more strappes. So we kept driving to the job like a normal day. Got about 5 miles down the road. Stoped at another stop sign. Boss went I crawled up to the sign like normal then his the gas and not a dam thing. Thought to myself well that’s wierd and not good. Thought it was from it hitting the shaft. Pulled over to a parking lot and looked underneath it and it’s pissing out all the tranny fluid. Luckily I was at the American Legion they had sand so I can clean up the mess the great pumpkin made. Anyway long story short I got a new pan from advanced auto threw it on filled up the tranny and it’s good to go again. Btw the pan already had a soft spot that I found so the wood smacking it just helped it finally break. Have a good day guys! :jeepwave:
