Cherokee year 2000 4D 4.0

    Gentlemen,
    I am of the belief, baring pulling the trim off, that front door speakers were not installed on this jeep. The two back ones associated with the overhead headliner works fine.
    Grey and Black plugs on factory installed radio appear to have wiring for the front speakers
    Sooo unlike the backspeakers which I can excite with a 9v battery....no luck with the front.
    Any clues ....Regards

    Hard to say what might have been removed or disconnected for some reason. Did you tests with an ohm meter?

    Thanks much...yep open circuit...but that could be either in the door loom or NO speakers..
    I just wanted to know IF any of these models came without speakers at-all in the door.
    If they all came with speakers in the door then I will pull the loom, although I have to pull
    The door face off to get to that loom I believe...Thanks much for the response(s)

    My information is they had door speakers for your year.

    ss exhaust-viper coil
    the speaker wires in the front door looms could be broken. There is no extra wire to anything in that loom.
