    1947 Jeepster not molested....
I am the proud owner of a 1947 Jeepster with not to much to do on it. I have a question, although I own my on repair shop I have never had much to do with the old Jeeps. This jeep has the three speed trans with overdrive. The overdrive cable is not hooked to anything and I do not see where it finishes up. I do see and electric motor on the side and wondering is that what takes it into overdrive? any help would be greatly appreciated. my Jeepster.jpg

    Welcome, nice looking Jeepster.

Can you post some pictures of the O/D unit?
I am not sure an electric overdrive motor is time period correct, from everything I find the overdrive was controlled with a shifter like the Saturn/Warn unit.

That is a beautiful jeep. I would like to see more pictures of it. I didn’t know they came with overdrive that year.
