good morning everyone, i’m a new member. I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with a 4” rough country lift. it has a terrible wobble, it happens on basically every bump and it is very scary, shakes the whole car ,the steering wheel goes crazy ,the tires skrt, i have to slow down to stop it. i have a huge list of parts that were the common fix, also took it to Delaware Tire and was charged $2000 and it was not fixed. i will attach a picture.

Track bar is the most common cause.

They may have "aligned it".... setting the toe but I wonder if they adjusted the caster correctly.
You might have to take it to a shop that is familiar with lifted vehicles to get the caster corrected.
    Hopefully this might help you.

Just to be clear was the DW before or after Delaware Tire installed "common fix" list of parts. What track bar did they use? Did the 4" RC lift kit have a specific TB?

that was my question Aggrex, the receipt looks like it says oe track bar which if you have a 4 inch lift it needs to be about 11/2 longer than a oe track bar easyto check see if it has a nut on the axle end of it

I thought the same thing but the only trackbar I can find with a 1084 part# is from Rough Country for a 99-04 Grand Cherokee with 3-6" lift.
Also the RC pitman arm is part # 6622 which matches the invoice as well and is for a 4" lift.

Noah, take it back and tell them for the price you paid the problem should have been fixed. That is after all their job, not to throw parts at it and hope it fixes it.

You could also try moving your tires from the front to the back.
Control arms/bushings may be another option.

You could have done that work yourself. I understand if you are short on time but with a decent socket set you have done most all of that work. Can rent a ball joint press, or buy one as they come in handy for other things as well. Just hate to see someone drop $1k just in labor charges.

GC looks awsome with the lift kit. Have you contacted Rough Country for DW following lift kit installation? They should have some solutions for their lift kit. Might want to inspect the track bar mounting holes if enlarged or ovaled that could cause DW. For example on the JKs larger 9/16 can be used to replace the 14mm bolts. As mentioned post the alignment specs from De Tire. Generally lifted JKs have good results in the 4+ degree range of caster.

@aggrex i think i’m going to take a look at the track bar mounts and see what i can figure out. also check the caster.

@Prerunner1982 i will try switching the tires. and researching more about the control arms. thank you guys so much for the help.
