    Hello. Has anyone had an issue with their transfer case linkage adjustment? I occasionally get an apparent gear clashing and to eliminate this I shift from 2-wheel to 4 wheel and back and it clears up. Any thoughts? 2019 Rubicon.

    Sounds like the plastic bushing is going. The plastic bushing just slips in the loop of the cable and over the pin on the lever of the transfer case.

    I had this happen when I got mine, and I simply slowed to a stop before going into 4 low. Hasn't happened since.

    The plastic bushing is known issue, it could be just starting to go. You can check it, and see if that is the case. But if you're at 5k, you should be able to the dealership and have them look at it for free.

    If its happening when shifting between 2 WD and 4 WD, make sure you are going straight when engaging. If you are turning, it can cause a grinding.

    It has occurred a couple of times when starting up going straight. Shifting into 4 W and back has cleared it for a while.
