Good morning. I was just changing my o2 sensor and while I was down there I noticed and black tube wrapped in that heat wrap cloth coming out of the front transfer case. Does anyone know what this is or does. Because Mine was shot and had holes all in the black tube.

If it was a black rubber tube it may be your vent tube and should run up preferably to the firewall.

Unwrap a small section of the "black tube" to find out whether its a vent tube or gang of electrical wires or etc. These "black tubes" must terminate somewhere. It can be wrapped back up easily. Pics may help determine which "black tube"
