Thanks. Was fun still got more stuff to knock out but over all I’m happy. I lowered it down some today also which I’m happy about. Frame height is probably right at 25” or so and should lower more once suspension has settled.

One more for today, removed the rubber bumper, that red stripe was getting pretty faded.

Awesome stance. Looks better without the faded red stripe. Looks great @Rey88 .
But are you aware. Some one vandalized your XJ. Apparently some one attacked your ride with tire shine. Did you report it to the authorities? That's a jealous FJ Crusier owner for sure. Lollll. ;).
XJ looks awesome. Owned one for years.....

Hahahaha yeah, I’m not to fond of that tire shine, smh, they did it without asking me when they put the wheels and tires on, I’m going to have to change that real quick

Decided last night in the balmy (<32°) weather it would be a good time to install the front driveshaft and drill out the pinion yoke for U-bolts....broke a bit.
Pending ice/snow storm prompted the evenings activities.

Was laid up for about a week after having my gall bladder removed, but yesterday I did manage to get my phone and tablet mounts done using some Scosche magnetic mounts. Now to get the radios installed. Comms center.jpg

That's some speedy recovery. Good thing you didn't drop a screw or two rolling around in the jeep. Magnets place nice with the tablet? My 67 design mag mount affected my phone so I switched to a different 67 design clip mount

So far so good on both the phone and tablet, I am even using 2 magnets to hold the tablet. Used the tablet this morning to monitor storms on my way to work with my phone acting as a hotspot, no problems. Will see when I hook up the tablet via bluetooth to one of my ham radios if the magnets cause any issue there, but I don't anticipate it.

Replaced shifter bushing and seal for the shift tower, put the center console together, and the door panels back on.

Replaced the radiator in the 93, had a small intermittent leak. It wasn't all that old but had sat out in the elements during the engine swap process.
Quick (<1hr) job but I did learn not to leave the water that you intend to refill the radiator with sitting outside when it's below freezing at night.
Next weekend (long weekend due to President's day) may involve replacing the lifters and push rods...... highs in the upper 30°s-low 40°s... PERFECT!

Thought it would be easier to remove the entire head to do the exhaust manifold/header.
    XJ header.jpg

And it was easier, unfortunately the head is off because I am replacing the lifters and pushrods and not a single parts store in town has the freakin' lifter removal tool. Jeep is laid up until the tool I ordered gets here on Tuesday.:annoyed:

Dropped the oil pan, disconnected the connecting rods, and found that the #2 piston has a bit of horizontal movement. The #3 had a bit as well and at that point I didn't go any further back and ordered some pistons. I have had a ticking noise coming from the area of cylinders 2-4 that has gotten worse. Looks like I may have a case of piston slap. When I had the head off last week I checked out the cylinder walls and none seem to be scored, could still see the cross hatch in some of them but will take another look once I pull the pistons out.
