Neither have I but new rust-free ones come pre-coated. Could be a recommendation from the past when rotors were turned instead of tossed.

Rotors for my LJ are 40 bucks they charge 20 each at oriellys to turn them that's an easy choice

Ah ok!! Now I know what you mean. It's a type of treatment that prevents corrosion during times of idle correct??

Excuse the confusion as I was typing on the phone. New caliper mounting bolts come pre-coated with threadlocker(TL). Some references recommend using TL on the caliper mounting bolts and using new bolts. Like you I have not used TL on these caliper mounting bolts but TL could ensure these bolts don't come loose.

So I should add TL to the bolts if I'm not gonna add new bolts then is what I'm getting?

Also, adding TL will the bolts still be easily removed without a pressure tool?

I have reused the caliper mounting bolts (bracket) without TL with no issues on several vehicles. Discussion for TL on caliper mounting bolts completes the installation guide.

Actually it was Monday afternoon I did this. I started out just wanting to clean and treat the fender flares. Then cleaned tires and wheels. And then, went ahead and washed it. Looking good!

Par for the course.....it’s now RAINING AGAIN! Of course, this doesn’t work in June, July, and August. Go figure!!

So, went to change out my front brakes and when I removed them they aren’t worn at all. Put the same ones back in. Seems like the squealing is less now when I brake then before. I did spray some brake cleaner before putting everything back on.

Could something else be causing the squealing besides the pads when I brake? Thought I’d ask you guys before I remove and check the rear brakes.

Put a little anti squeak between the pad and piston, and make sure everything is clean. That should help.

Really small fix today. Changed out my side marker light on my fender that burned out. Took about 30sec.

I mean what brand are the Quick release swaybar links. They look easier to disconnect than most styles like these.

Also did this the other day.
Got the fender liners with a SS plate but decided to cut some plexi and put the led marker light behind it after swapping out my fenders for some flat steel ones.
