I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport that I want to restore. However I'm not a huge fan of the original 90's style seats. I have the opportunity to get a good deal on a full set of leather seats from a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee which would look really damn good in it. The only problem is I have no idea if those seats would even fit inside a 96 cherokee. I wouldn't assume the mounts would match up, if they did that would be great but I can definitely make adapters of some kind. All I want to know is if there's anyone out there who's done something like this, or just knows their seat sizes, and can tell me if it would work. I'm a DIYer too so nothing's really impossible. Also if you know that these seats won't work, is there any other common, modern vehicles that people use the seats from?
    -Thanks

Welcome! Interesting project to adapt leather power seats from the GC into the smaller Cherokee. Try taking the Cherokee passenger seat out then testing the GC seat before purchase. Adapters/mods will probably be needed. Modding the Cherokee seat frame to GC seat could be easier than making new reinforced holes in the floor but whatever works. Post pics of your seat swap.
