Hey yall, I got a 2014 red jeep Sahara back in October of 2018. I'm having a hard time trying to find out what mods to add to it and just trying to figure out a good build for it. I've added a few small things like some halo lights, tail lights, and some grille inserts, but I wanna start getting some bigger stuff for it. Ik I want to get a light bar and definitely wanting some wide tires with black wheels. Main reason I'm making this post is because most the builds I see have the black fenders, and I also dont want to be one of these people with a "soccer mom jeep" that end up looking more like SUVs than jeeps. Hope some of yall can give me some tips and some recommendations to make a nice badass looking jeep. Thanks!20190418_143640.jpg 20190418_143650.jpg 20190418_144002.jpg

Welcome @Carsonaconner ...nice choice to begin your project. Recoup some expenses by selling the Sahara wheel/tires/bumpers after upgrading them with 17" wheels and steel bumpers to get the look you're after. The light bar is neat but will have limited use unless your on the trails so I prefer different auxiliary lights. Checkout Quadratec.com to drool over ideas and post what you decide. Too easy to get subscribed for endless catalogs.

why do you have a jeep - hunting, fishing, beach, bad winters?

#1 mod would always be a aux trans cooler.
Tires and wheels, be sure the jeeps computers can accept tire size.
the above use would guide the mods.

Main reason I wanted the jeep is I love the look and the company. I'd love to go on trails and go mudding some but this is my primary car so I don't want to have a jeep that can only go off roading

Alright thanks for the advice, yeah I mainly would like the light bar for looks and it would be nice to use for going on trails or when I need some light if I'm working on something outside. I've really liked looking at extreme terrains app and stuff but ik quadratec has some good stuff too.

I would have to suggest a Jeep Club, A good one will have a website and keep it upgraded.

Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
It is were my jeep that I wanted to keep street friendly and a little more trail friendly. I'd replace the front bumper with a stubby and winch. The rear bumper with one matching the front and an attached tire carrier good for up to 37s. Flat fenders (if you want to paint them the same color as the jeep get Xenon flat fenders), if not the cheap bushwacker flats look good. 2in teraflex lift. 35x12.50x17 tires, or 37x12.50x17 tires on 17x9 in wheels. If you go 37" tires you will definitely want to regear with a 4.88 ratio.

Thank you I'm definitely gonna take your advice, I'd love to get a stubby bumper but I'm trying to find some that use the original fog lights and not it's own. I have some led color changing halos on my jeep rn and I hate to get rid of the fog lights. My plan was to get new tires and wheels first because I hate to have a stubby number and skinny wheels showing.
