I want to add to my previous post, once the Jeep started it I drove close to 10 miles to the gas station. What sucks is live in Columbus, Ohio, but I always buy my new vehicles down south, so the dealership I purchased the Jeep from is 2 and half hours away, but I did make an appointment with a Jeep dealer thats close to me..

Got my interest - why do you buy down south?
Speaks volumes of Ohio dealer association.
One of our members is a Virginia dealer SO he might want to hear the story.

True story bro....local dealer thought they were doing me a favor taking 1K off retail and below trade value for my trade. They directed me to try CarMax for the trade and to come back. CarMax gave me a check for 3K more trade value in 20 min than the local Jeep dealer so a quick internet search located a better deal 120 miles one-way @Koons in VA. It was a road trip but it was worth it for me. One day I might revisit the dealership as they had a lot of expensive custom Jeeps.....a mall crawler's dream.

koons is close to me - I believe they are a volume dealer MAYBE #1 in USA but details are vague, I did business with the oldest dealer in country once, the owner was 91 ha ha its all in the details,

I always wonder WHY dealers do not go for volume, seams they would rather sell one vehicle high than 3 low IDK -

Road trip made me think - they used to do delivery at XYZ location with orders, the closest dealer was paid for the prep and delivery by manufacturer. Must be old ways.

Salesman sell cars strictly off commission. 1 guy don't sell them all either so he/she is trying to get the biggest pay check per vehicle they can. I sold RV's for McClains a very long time ago . I made 2400 bucks off 1 Elantra one time. That was in 1990 and a lot of money.

Not trying to promote Koons Jeep but back in '16 one makes the deal online then they had a promo to cover the inbound flight tickets approx $350 flying into Tyson, Va to pickup the new Jeep.
