93 ZJ surges after letting off gas

    1993 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2L AWD
    My Zj acts as if it wants to stop or die when I drive over 45mph. Between 55-45, the rpm jumps, the vechicle jerks and slows a second, then decelerates normally. If I press the gas after that, it accelerates normally. Just acts like that dropping from about 55 and passing 45 as it drops.

    Fuel Injection, Dana 44s, T18, 4.10s w/lockers
    First guess would be a failing throttle position sensor, but you should soon be getting a check engine light for that.

    If your getting engine light. First action should be to get codes. And go from there.
