Check the installation instructions. Constant 12V would solve your problem but could drain the battery if radio is left on. Perhaps the memory presets require additional wiring.

I would have to turn it off manually ? If so, that's fine but should the settings change if I turn it back on ?

Assuming the radio is fine use a multimeter to confirm the wires have 12V power when key-on or key-off. Most of the time its simply wired incorrectly.

What wires would I need to connect to the constant 12v wire? Which is red/white or red/grey?

An actual diagram for my year and model would be very helpful, I don't think the one I posted are right...

On the stereo harness (attached to the back of stereo), I have red, yellow, orange, and blue wires but im not sure of what they power. On my Scoshe wire harness for this year and model, I have the same color wires, but not sure of there functions either. Ill look up the diagrams for these so i can get better help...FB_IMG_1561500744461.jpg

Are these pics the wiring diagram for your aftermarket stereo? Use a multimeter on the jeep wiring harness to determine which wire has the right 12V power. Matching colors may not be accurate with aftermarket radios.
