It seems appropriate that my username, Jeepdreams, be the subject of my posts. Today I saw a Gladiator, driven by a young man, loaded with a surfboard plus I could see a Coleman cooler and some fire wood loosely thrown in, so I knew where he was going . (This is OC and the beach is relatively close even from the Eastern most corner where I live.) About an hour later I stopped at Jersey Mike's to grab some lunch. As I rounded the corner I came face to face with a '65-'66 Wagoneer. (I bought a '63 when I lived in Carson City NV in 1973, which I brought home with me when I returned to OC. I regretted selling that rig two hours after I watched it drive away and have spent moments mourning my loss from time to time ever since, even through the years of owning two other Jeeps. (It was my first ). Now the briefest part, my Jeepdream. Imagine a Wagoneer body on a Gladiator chassis. It's longer than the JL so will accommodate a longer need cabin, and built to handle the additional weight of a full size SUV. Absolutely one of the most capable off-road vehicles, you would now have a beast wrapped in a luxury package. (Change the suspension to some progressive system to give it street manners, but keep the off-road integrity.) Let your imagination run wild with this idea and share your thoughts! Sweet dreams, I mean Jeepdreams!
