2006 Liberty Sport, Automatic trans. I replaced my ignition switch actuator pin recently. Since then, I can switch gears on my automatic without a key in the ignition. While watching a video made by someone else on changing the actuator pin, I realized I lost a small part. When replacing the actuator pin assembly, it is held in place by securing the Shifter interrupt on top of it. The little part came out of the shifter interrupter. I cannot find a part number for the shifter interrupter or the missing piece. The gear shifter interlock cable terminates on this device under the steering wheel. Can anyone assist me in finding this part number for the device? I just want it for safety, the car operates fine besides this issue.

Welcome @DouggieDoodle ....did you check dealer parts department? An alternative would be a pull-part yard. Nice that it remains functional without the missing piece. Consider the positives/negatives of the situation as I've ignored the Honda recall/TSB that engages the brake pedal interlock...makes starting ez in PARK without pressing the brake pedal.

Thank you. I do not have any nearby yards that have an 06 liberty. I found one on ebay that is parting out an 06 Liberty, but waiting for reply. I actually broke the actuator pin about 5 years ago, so I wired up some toggle switches for on/off/acc and a spring loaded switch for start. When it first broke, the dealers all said I had to replace the entire column for $750 for just the part. It's nice there are replacements available now by Dorman. Best part is the key sensor still worked so the engine would shut off after 1 sec if started by switch without the key. Every time I take the car to a service shop for anything code related, they blame the wiring change I made. So I bought my own code reader and it works fine. Long story short, just trying to get her back to factory mode, but it works as is if not found.
