Wheel ticking/clicking

I used to get aloud knock when I would reverse and turn the wheel to the right, sometimes it was loud sometimes it was faint, but it rarely does it anymore. I have noticed, when I turn my wheel to the left and I'm moving forward, there is a clicking or ticking noise.... Drives me nuts because it's been going on since I've had it and I can't seem to pin the problem... Wish I had camera mounted on the bottom of the vehicle while in motion so I can figure it out.

 

I would first suggest looking at the front driveshaft like is it hitting any thing, this should be evident by shiny spots near and above the u-joint. also check for any slop in the front u-joints. The front drive shaft could have hit something also so look for any damage from that.

 

Just to throw something out there...check the ball joints for knocks/crackles and wheel bearings for clicks/ticks

 

How about this ? Is this an engine mount ? Should it have a bushing ?

 

What about these control arms ? Upper and lower, driver then passenger...

 

I'm with @aggrex . Check ball joints, bearings, and u-joints. A clicking noise is a common issue with all. And there are several ways of checking each.

 

Those control arms do look pretty clean, like they have been replaced for some reason. Might want to look underneath for some damage repair.

 

How can I check them ?

 

I'm lost lol control arms, bearings, u joint...there is any damage from front Driveshaft hitting anything...how can I test these things?

 

For starters, look for shiny spots where the arms might be hitting anything. In pic #2 it does look like that bolt is hitting something, again look for shiny spots. You could open the hood and rev up the engine by hand to check if it gets close to anything as it torques over. The driveshaft u-joints can be worn, so check for play and more shiny spots where they would hit something. If you still have what appears to be the oem motor and trans mounts they could make the engine move around enough to hit something. Hopefully you can get where I am going with this and you can find something. If you do find something, figure out what it would take to correct it. That mounted camera idea sounds pretty good, I have seen them also used on the trail for some great pics.
