    Names Sascha, 35, live in North Carolina and work full time as a firefighter/EMT.

    So that being said I have an unusual issue with my 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited. For about 3 months now I've been getting an odd, hard to describe sound. It's coming front the front end somewhere. Best I can describe the sound is a static, crackle. The sound only appears when I get up to highway speeds and will then appear getting louder and then going away. It only does this on the highwa . Taken it to the dealership. Drove a tech around and they have never heard the sound before. Please help it's so annoying.

    I installed a 2.5 inch teraflex lift, 33 inch tera grappler g2 tires, new bumper and grill. The entire lift was inspected by the dealership and isn't the issue

    they are only going to inspect for proper installation. Odds are, you have some turbulence created from either the bumper or grill, that manifests art higher speeds. One thing you might want to try, is take a blanket, or towel, and tape it to the grill, and drive at speed, and see if the sound goes away. DO NOT drive like this for long, as it will block some air from the radiator, and could inhibit cooling, but this could help rule it out.

    Oddly enough, the tech suggested I take off the grill I bought, put back on the factory grill and drive around. Plan on doing it tomorrow, just not sure cuz it doesnt sound like what I would think air flow issues would sound like

    Turbulence can make really strange sounds. Buzzing and "Static" are the most common.

    Well static is exactly what it sounds like, sometimes it gets pretty loud. I'm gonna hate it if it's my grill, cuzn it's a mean looking grill.

    Yeah, it would make sense to me if that was the case. All those angles create turbulence, which equals noise. Same with the Light Bars mounted on the roofline. Those suckers whistle.

    FWIW, Looking at your set up, if its not the grill, it could be the winch mount.

    Welcome @German_firefighter .
    I tend to agree with Chris. You got numerous busy (issues)things goin on up front. I doubt it's a mechanical issue also.

    Try taping up the holes in the bumper including the winch fairlead mount.
