2005 tj clicking clunking

    So I’m chasing a clunking clicking sound when in gear and driving. I pulled the driveshafts replaced U joints on driveshafts I’m thinking it’s coming from the front passenger wheel area. It only makes the sound when in gear and moving you can throw it in neutral and coast and it stood out back in gear you hear it again. I have noticed some grease on the housing meets the axle. Could it be a wheel hub gone bad.m or wheel bearing. Like I said it only makes the sound when In gear and moving. Any thoughts

    Welcome @2005 TJ ...unusual to have noise from the front passenger wheel area when in gear and no noise in neutral as no power is sent to the front axle unless 4WD is engaged. Clunking / clicking could be indicative of hub or wheel bearing etc. Inspect front suspension components too for wear.

    Welcome to the forum @2005 TJ . Awesome advice posted up top. I'd start there. Bad bearings tend to cause unusual sounds in vehicles.

    Thanks for the reply I feel it’s a bearing if some sort in front passenger side. I just posted another thread Of some pics of the oil/ grease that is seeping out
