I have been all over the Internet ,called Jeep dealerships ,and car junkyards and no one seems to have this part..it is the rubber belt that is called a slide cover or dust cover that fits around the shifter.. apparently this part has a common problem with breaking.. does anyone know where I can locate 1 for a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

Welcome @Runforit97 ...if you can't find a replacement just lay out the broken parts and custom cut one from section of similar plastic.
