I have a 2013 grand Cherokee and have done all maintenance on time. I got an oil change from Valvoline one day and then some days after that I noticed a tick in my engine. It’s fairly loud but not loud enough to the point where you walk a lil ways from the car you won’t hear it. It’s coming from driver side. Any suggestions?

Is the Valvoline oil different from previous oils used successfully? Using the correct oil weight? Correct amount? Perhaps switch back to the oil brand used successfully.

They used the same oil as the previous owner since he ironically took it there before me and all oil used was the recommended oil weight from Jeep. I’m still trying to upload video to show you the noise but the upload box just sits there and then goes away if I click anywhere. The tick goes with the RPMs

I would like to know also. Greengo makes the same sound, but not usually when it is cold.... it doesn't seem to affect the performance though.

Only notice a slight tick on cold starts that goes away after a few minutes.
