Obviously a first aid kit and good knife are a must but I see a lot of jeep owners with fire extinguishers. Are they more necessary in a jeep than other vehicles? I just want to make sure I'm prepared for longer trails than I've been doing.

It's not an EDC for my DD but for rocky off-camber-type trails when there might be a greater chance for roll overs it makes a good addition. Also let's not forget the BBQ camp fire on overnight treks:bananadead:

Might be something to consider as DD lifted Jeeps have a higher chance for roll overs from road conditions, weather or accidents compared to lower COG vehicles.

a fire extinguisher, a jeep statement, accoutrement an expected item for jeep. The term 'iconic' may apply -

A fire extinguisher, birth control, a hand gun, better to have and not need than need and not have.

    SORRY I digress.

What would people recommend? I've heard you shouldn't just grab one from home depot.

Always keeping your trips in cell phone range comes to mind. Having a few other vehicles along is another good thing to have.
