    so my abs light and traction control light is on. No check engine light no codes are popping I have ran a computer on it. Randomly in first and if I start in second gear it acts like the Jeep is trying to catch traction and the traction light will blink then the abs and traction light stays on. I don’t know what to do

    3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
    The computer posted no codes at all?? Maybe unhook the battery completely and then touch the ends of the cables together a couple times and wait a few minutes. Then reconnect the battery. That will force your computer to reset. If that doesnt fix it the only thing I can think of is a wheel speed sensor is going bad and setting off your abs.

    @Awrench whatcha got on this

    Welcome @Jeepgurl91 ! Pro quality scanner should have revealed which wheel speed sensor was defective if that was the issue. Backing up a bit anything to share such as recent suspension work (drag link) or off-road adventures that may have affected the wheel sensors, cables etc.

    So I used a scanner at o Reilly’s and advanced and neither one of those did anything. No there’s been no work done to it it’s just as it was when I drove it off the lot.

    Is the steering wheel In correct position or is the alignment off enough that the steering wheel is turned while going straight?

    I have had this Christmas tree many times from the alignment being off so much that the wheel sensor thinks I’m turning when I am not.

    As the gang says this will need a professional style scanner, the codes for the ESP, ABS, Traction control are nested in a different module (computer). The key trick as we all know is LACKING esp with the multitude of modules (computers) in todays jeeps.

    And yes something as simple as alignment will throw the system into a frenzy. Might want to visit your friendly jeep dealer as alot jeep specific issues with the complex system.

    Hello Hope, welcome from Oklahoma.
    My first thought was Wheel Speed Sensor also but you would have to know which one which may only be able to be determined by a dealer scanner.
    The repair itself is easy, you could definitely do it.

    Same thing is going on with my Jeep, cruising down highway set on cruise it kicked the cruise off and the abs and traction control lights came on. They are still on and not sure what to do.

    Same issue here. Changed rear rotors and brakes yesterday and found the slide pins in the caliper brackets were seized, so replaced those. I thought for sure it would fix the issue but the lights are still on and I forgot to check to see if my cruise control was working again. Anyone know if there’s a way to reset the sensors after the fix?

    Before erasing the codes get the codes read free at most auto parts stores. Post up what is found.

    I have had this issue as well since I bought my jku. Been to the dealer 3 times now. First two times they replaced the wheel sensor. This last time they replaced the sensor and rear axle. Went right back to it 300 miles later as I was driving to Oregon. It’s driving me crazy. I have an appointment with dealer now in Portland.

    Having similar problem on 2016 sport. If reversing and make sharp turn with steering wheel, both lights will come on. 99% of time if it is wet or damp out but rarely in dry conditions. Sensor?

    I’m a new member I have a 17 jku sport with sport package, abs and tc light on and I have noticed slight drag when cold and I turn left. Manual tranny. Just like it was when I bought it new. I have bought a innova 3040e reader parts stores won’t read it because of coronacrap. Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome @17 jku ...could be a failed, failing or bad connection from a wheel speed sensor(s). Use a good code reader to scan for codes and post for internet diagnosis
