    Converting to 91 4.0L 5-spd. Bought a wrecked 91 Saraha 65k miles.
    Howdy all, new to this forum, not new to 4 wheelin. First Jeep tho.... Traded a 06 Polaris Sportsman 500 for this 89 YJ last year. The 4.2 that came stock was worn out, (175 K miles), plus I have no idea of it's life before me, so being as how I love wrenchin, thought I'd give a swap a shot. Found a wrecked 91 YJ with a 4.0 and 5-spd for the swap project.
    After I got into the tear down, I realized the 91 is a bastard of sorts,first year with injection, ect. So........ let the fun begin..... Got the 89 down to the frame and tub, not going to do a frame off this time, but did find a few rust outs, so addressed those, (cuttin and weldin, and patchin). Want the patina of the years, so, am going to re-paint as little as i have to, (Dash, firewall, inner fenders and inner Hood. Did coat the under tub and frame with rubberized undercoating, and am slowly getting the Dash wiring in place. Started on the Dash figuring it would be close to Factory build procedure after the tub to frame marriage. I'll post pics soon as I have time, any comments or advise will be accepted with open arms and deep gratitude, Kowdog
