    2014 Jeep Patriot 4whl drive
    2011 transmission/transfer case
On the passenger side the axle is 31", I replaced it and seal went out at about 150 miles...shouldn't this be a 1/2 shaft assembly with a stub in the transfer case to help lesson the load on output? I found the parts that fit and am just wondering if this was changed. Thanks

Welcome @Teedoffjeep ...not a Patriot specialist but always interested in the solution. The jeep parts counter person should be able to confirm what axle or shaft parts fit your specific VIN vehicle. Things do change between specific years and the jeep parts department will be the best choice for accurate information. Post up your resolution for the Patriot.
