    Hi,
We went to a drive in movie last night and ran the battery down after ~2hrs of utilizing the Accessory to listen to the movie audio. We bought the vehicle ~6 months ago and have ~6,000 miles on it. Suspect weak battery as the vehicle sat on the lot for maybe a year. Or did we mess up somehow using the Accessory function of the Jeep?
    Thanks,
    Ray

It could be a weak battery.
Does the Jeep have a factory amplifier? If so that is more draw on the battery and could have just pulled it down enough to not be able to start the Jeep.
Little jump packs (such as the Noco https://no.co/products/power/jumpstarters) sure are handy to have in the Jeep.

If you have the ESS (Electronic Start Stop) you should have a secondary battery that would have started the Jeep even if the main battery was low. Perhaps the secondary auxiliary battery is bad.

:boink: Back in the day when I took my girl to the drive inn never used the dead battery excuse but I have ran out of gas quite a bit. I think you have a weak battery. I don’t know where you live but you with colder temperatures may been just enough to not start the engine.
    Good luck.

A battery load test will confirm the condition of the battery.

Auto parts stores like Advance or Autozone can load test the battery. Depending upon the speaker amp load two hours could deplete a battery especially an older battery. Get it tested and make a decision to be proactive or wait for more definitive signs of a weak battery for daily use. Sometimes battery drain from extended powered amps usage can be expected as normal.
