When I start the car, the interior roof light goes on and stays on while driving.

    Hi!
    This problem just started. When I start the car, the interior roof light goes on and stays on while driving. How can I fix that?

    Welcome @MF54 ...I don't own a Liberty but the typical interior light usually has a switch for door>off>on. Not the answer you seek but if that switch has failed I'd pull the bulb and check if there are other additional electrical issues too. One positive is this light isn't draining the battery overnight. Get a multimeter up there to check functionality of the switch and components. One other thing is the door jam switch could be suspect too.

    Hi! Thank you for taking the time to give me a suggestion, but I fixed it!! I went out to the car and opened the door and the driver
    dome light went on, but not the roof overhead light. I pressed on the roof light and it clicked and went on. That must have synchronized
    the lighting because the lights worked normally after I started the car!! Thanks again!!

    That's great. I have a 2002 Liberty that my son drives. sometimes the overhead light turns on when you use the left flasher. It's very intermittent so I haven't bothered looking into it but I assume it's a wonky relay or something.
