    Hello,

My wife's compass was running fine, and just like that it won't start, we've replaced the battery, however when I pushed the start button, the starter cranks about a 1/2turn and stops, not fully turning over, along with a Christmas tree of lights on the dash. I've checked all the fuses with a test light at the engine compartment, (who puts fuses on the bottom of a fuse box, that you can't see, with the washer jug blocking access to them...smh) I'm at a loss trying to get the compass started, any suggestions???

Welcome to the site! Sounds like a bad connection, maybe a bad ground. I would start with making sure the battery is up to the correct voltage, than check cable/wire connections at the battery, and at the grounding points. Check the cable to the starter too.

My first guess would be the battery connections. To get a starter to turn over an engine it takes a lot of juice. This means power to the starter, a load test meter would help here. Weakness points would be possible starter and wiring. So, after your check the power to the starter, check the starter. After that there is the security system then the relay.

Welcome @southernsmoke ....the tips provided can help isolate your problem. Can the Compass start with a jump?

This is a great point! If it will jump with a start, that can rule out connection issues.
