Will Scoping a vehicle find a problem with tone ring and or missing teeth in crankshaft?

Thanks for this. I guess what I am asking is - if a Tone Ring needs replacement....would the scope have identified this?

Today the plot thickens - the Dealership put in a new battery. Weird right....!!! After it had no voltage or something was connected back on Wednesday when I went to go get it.

Could all of this crap for the last 7 months really been over a battery!!!??? I will see tomorrow when I go get it...

Perhaps those nice guys changed the battery to reset the codes, close the hood, pat each other on the back, then flipped a coin to see makes the call for pick up. But seriously this is one long drawn out affair.

I’m also thinking - why would they do that when they could just reset without doing all that??

I do know this - I don’t have a loaner anymore so something has to happen quickly. Fix, trade-in, or buy a cheap used car. Ugh - all craziness. Never have I had a place not have an answer or fix after 7 months. They have definitely wasted enough time and money of their own!!
