Starts, runs briefly, and then shuts down

    I've been doing a lot of research on this problem and have replaced the coolant temp sensor, crankshaft position sensor, o2 sensor, cleaned the idle air control, I have used the default setting for the map sensor, split the cat to have free flow , new cap and rotor, and a new alternator.
    I'm getting spark, fuel, and I have good compression. The only think I can think at this point is an ECM. Sometimes it'll run long enough to drive around and just recently it started getting worse.
    Is there anything I haven't thought of or haven't covered? I've ran through wires and everything looks solid. Coil maybe? That's the only thing I haven't replaced besides the ECM.

    Check battery terminals....my 98 use to do that. The terminals were wore out n needed replacement n tightening!! Just a thought. It be nice if it were that quick,easy and inexpensive... Good luck to ya.

    Does it start right back up after dying or does it need to sit for a while (cool?) first?

    I had a friend with a similar issue. It turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. As well, coils are heat sensitive. Have you tested that?

    Oh...and my favorite recently (it has worked a few times too) is the Throttle position Sensor (TPS).

    It's not temp related cause it's not picky when it dies and will start right back up.
