I am diggin the Jeep Wave trend. I’m pretty sure it’s been around for years. Recently, I became a JKU owner in December, since then, I have seen a few the palm & five finger wave as well as the two finger peace wave. I quickly learned that “it’s a Jeep thing”.

Now that I understood that Making a simple polite jester to another Jeep owner is the right thing to do, I’ve decided to participate and throw as many as I could when I see another Jeep in the passing.

    But......yep.... the good oil’ but....

there are a few (actually a lot)) Jeep drivers, that just doesn’t care to wave or respond back. Is the Jeep Wave still alive, or is it falling to the wayside of the “I don’t know you” and “I’m too good to wave” type people.

Hey, I get it, there are a lot of Jeep nowadays. I’ve even understand that one could have missed and didn’t notice the oncoming Jeeper.

    Do you still Jeep Wave?
Did you put a Jeep wave sticker on your windshield?

lol, \ooo/ Aloha from my world. ooV to the fellow Jeepers.

Welcome @DA.MANA ...IMO in order for the jeep wave to continue to be relevant an effort is needed regardless of wave-back. The JKU (4-dr) probably deserves the most credit for keeping the Wrangler around attracting different types of Wrangler buyers who see it as an alternative "lifestyle" SUV. These "lifestyle" SUV owners probably won't return the wave nor venture beyond a dirt path but keep the sales numbers up while stimulating more aftermarket jeep accessories. One positive I see are plenty of used JKUs out there in the market for the perfect "ultimate" jeep for someone to build.

In my area, RDU, everyone in a Jeep waves at everyone else that has one. So yes, its very much alive here.

Depends on what you drive... If it's not a Wrangler you rarely get a wave...but that's fine with me, I don't need their acceptance.

For the CJ, YJ, and TJ group, everybody waves, For the JKs and beyond, not so much. This is California though, and the guy who puts his hand up just might have a gun. So you have to be careful.

This does not represent 99.9% of the fellow Jeepers on the road. Take care out there. IMG_20180907_132508_edit.jpg

I've noticed in my area (north central ohio) that most of the jeepers that have modded their rigs will give a wave. I have given waves and not got one back and vice versa. Sometimes I just dont see them till it's too late lol. But all the stockers that are running around almost never give a wave. My wife drives my modded rig daily and she get waves all the time from the other modded rigs. When I drive and see a heavily modded XJ or sometimes a grand Cherokee I will definitely give them a wave.

I wave at all Jeepers. Only get about half the waves back but that ain’t gonna stop me from continuing to wave!

As others have said I mainly get waves back from modded Jeeps. Stock ones rarely but do happen sometimes.

    Keep Waving! \ooo/
