2.5 INCH ROUGH COUNTRY SUSPENSION LIFT
Hi.. Im new here to the this jeep forum.. I have a question about backspacing..

I have a 2008 jeep wrangler with a 2.5 inch rough country suspension lift.. Right now Im running a 18" stock wheel with a tire that is 275/65R18 approx. 32" but I want to move down to a 17" aftermarket wheel running a 33" tire.. now I live in Pa where they can be a little strick on having your tire stick out past your fender.. So does anybody know what backspacing I should get on my new wheels to keep my tires as close to my fender as possible.. Now if it sticks out a little thats not a problem i just don't want it to be super obvious for the cops..

    Thanks Jim

2.5" AEV Dual Sport lift, 35" Treadwright Guard Dogs, Black Rock Wheels, AEV Front & Rear Bumpers with Tire Carrier, Fuel Caddy 10 gal. Aux. fuel tank, Warn 9.5ti, 125' synthetic winch line, front axle skid, 20" LED light bar , Bilstein Shocks, steel steering skidplate,
A backspacing of around 5" would be great on your JK, though are a little hard to find. AEV's wheels are actually approx. 5.2" of backspace. (Somebody buy me a set would ya!?!?) Those tuck in well even with a std 35" tire. You can find plenty of 4.75" models out there and they should keep you in good standing. I am running 4.50" and my 35s stick out about 3/4 of an inch or a bit less so you might not want those.
