    Hello Everyone-
I have a friend with a YJ that just had the ABS light come on.
Are their any typical or common reasons why this might be happening?
The last project was rear shocks....Nothing recently electrical or otherwise.
    Any suggestions on next steps?
It does not have an OBD II port so I cannot get any codes.
    Thanks for your help!

If you get that abs light there should be a stored code in the computer. Just what year YJ is it? I am not sure if the obd2 port is missing or is it a obd1 setup.

    Thanks for the reply...
    It's a 1995. There isn't a connector. I don't think it is missing, I think it just doesn't exist...
    ???

Looking online I see that obd2 equipped vehicles came out in '96. I would suggest getting a repair manual to determine a repair. If your abs system is not working, it should still be able to stop just fine.
