Hey there. Ssdj. I have a 2007 jk, w 300,000+ miles but runs amazing.
I have replaced all my tie rods, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, upper and lower ball joints, both sides, wheel bearing assemblies, shocks, steering stabilizer (where this all began), and most recently re-replaced a tie rod that was defective. And I still hit a series of bumps that set the wobble off again. Much less violent than usual, and stopped at a slow speed not a full stop but...
I was wondering I'd anyone can tell me if steering damper works in both directions or just 1?
    Also, any other suggestions?

Yes. It works in both directions.
After replacing everything you mention. I'd check tightening torques, And all bushings. Also...there is only one tire rod on the front suspension. So I'm not sure what you mean by "tie rods".
There is a misconception on steering stabilizers. In most, if not all, wobbling conditions start else where. Another front end issue. And a new stablizer just hides the true problem. And only temporarily.

When was the last time you had a wheel alignment guy look at it. As goes the phrase " Let the baker bake the bread".

Well Donald, I had a real Baker look at and align it after 'I" replaced the broken steering stabilizer. Then again after the tie rod and tie rod end. And a third time after all 4 ball joints and 2nd replacement of defective tie rod. Also I had all 4 wheels balanced.
    Any other advice for me?

Find another baker. They should also be able to determine if your tires are coming apart, which is another possibility.

I have a 2007 jk wrangler (two door), low mileage, with front end wheel/steering oscillation issues (ie death wobble) - and - all front end and suspension components are sound!, tight - torque specd, in excellant condition - excellent tires, stock wheels, ...
My thoughts after looking into this for several months - it may be caused by unexpected wear inside the steering box.
    What else is there?

Usually the steering box is the last thing to go bad. If you have the steering oscillation issues like when you drive over a railroad crossing or a rut in the road it is probably worn tie rod and drag link ends. An easy way to check them is to squeeze them with a pair of channel locks. Another possibility can be worn wheel bearings. I will see if I can find a YouTube video on this.
