2007 JK no start ?

    So just picked up this JK, was running great, the windshield washer fluid pump wasnt working, so I bought new one and installed today. Afterwards it will not start. Battery was not stock size so I assumed i left a light or something on, swapped out with new AGM battery spec'd out for the JK. Jeep has power, but the starter isnt moving. Did starter go out and just the timing is bad. I disconnected the 4 ports next to the washer fluid reservoir (not sure what they are for, electronic something), two were hard to get off but eventually wiggled off, the last one the plastic piece came out seperate. Put everything back how it was and it won't start. Anyone have a clue what is going on. Its a 2007 with 2008 3.8L motor with 60K miles on motor. thanks for help.

    Welcome @JKKEEPER ...are you at least cranking? the washer pump is so separate from the starter that you either knocked something loose, blew some fuses or have bad connections. Inspect all ground+positive connections to the starter, perhaps get the starter tested or replaced, look at the fuse box for issues etc

    no not cranking at all. do you know what the 4 electical ports next to washer fluid reservoir are for?

    I have no idea what you unplugged but I’m guessing that’s ur problem.
    Everything worked fine until you unplugged the plugs??

    Took it to mechanic. Box next to washer fluid is one of the computers, one of the 4 prongs shorted out a couple fuses in the main box when I unplugged it. Easy fix fortunately. Appreciate the help and ideas. Next step is to pull all aftermarket light wiring out and redo it. Mechanic said it’s done wrong and fire hazard.

    yes, it seems there was a short in one of the relay box/ computers. He was able to resolve the issue without having to buy a new software unit ($850). Runs like a champ now. Previous owner did a crappy job wiring up the led lights and winch, spent part of saturday and sunday pulling all the wiring on those and rewiring with correct fuses and relays and new built in switches in the dash on left of steering wheel versus the crappy stick on ones he had used. Just ordered new fender flares, steps (for kids to get in), and liners for front wheel wells.
