In 1983 I bought an "Ozark Eagle" edition CJ7 Jeep, it was a custom pkg when new, sold by Sparks Motors in SE Missouri. Going from memory it had: 304 2bbl, headers, 4 speed, hi back buckets, console, PS, tach, tilt, AC, turbine style wheels, WARN 8,000 lb winch, 31 x11.00 Centennial Canyon Climber tires, maybe a 1" suspension or body lift, light blue with bass boat metal flake, "Ozark Eagle" hood decals in place of "Renegade" dark blue soft top and interior and a really cool looking roll bar. The bar was a single large 3" tube, came straight up by the driver's left foot and passengers right foot, to the top of windshield frame, the bars met in the middle of windshield frame, 90 degree turn to back, behind the bucket seats, another 90 degree to the outside and then mounted at 4 points. Hard to explain, but it looked like an outline of trans am t top. If that makes any sense? Anyone see one or know who can bend one for me? I didn't own a camera back then, but the old CJ still exists, owned by the guy I sold it to in 1985. Parked in a field for the past 25 years, but he's going to restore it when he gets around tuit.

This cage is pretty close to what was in my old cj7. Where can I buy one?[IMG]

If that's the style I remember, both rear bars connect on the fender well, connected with a piece of steel angle iron. All I can suggest would be a Jeep junkyard that would be found on the net. FWIW, on my CJ, I removed that dash pad, filled in the holes with screws and purchased a cover for the w/s wiper motor and it looks a lot better plus it gets that bar out of the way for easier entry.

The cool Jeep in this post isn't mine, but is actually for sale in the classifieds at a very reasonable price. I'm finding out that I should have bought a "done" Jeep instead of fixing up mine.

A couple of things that I have enjoyed about owning a Jeep is building it the way I want or could afford to and fixing someone elses broken Jeep on the trail.
