    Hello all,

New to the forum. I have a 97 wrangler 4.0 sport. runs perfectly mechanically. However, I am having electrical issues inside the car. The headlights work fine, but when you turn on a blinker, it shorts out the radio, blinkers, windshield wipers, and odometer(which is digital). The main gauges continue to function most of the time during this. If you turn the car off and then back on, the radio fires back on, the same with blinkers. This electrical issue doesn't happen as often when the headlights are off but has got worse over the last few months. The car has been garage kept and has 40k on it, so has been well cared for.

I Am hearing about a new connector (PN 05016261) from Jeep, not sure if anyone out there has had any success with this?

    Thanks!

    Justin

Interesting about your blinker issue. You might try swapping out the turn signal relay with the emergency flasher relay just to see if that caused the problem. Also, check to see if any dirt got into the turn signal handle switch where it goes into the steering column.
