    2020 Jeep Gladiator
I'm currently leasing a 2020 Gladiator and am looking to do a bit of trail riding in Michigan. Specifically, I'm trying to get my feet wet with the Geels to Roscommon Route near Higgins Lake. My Jeep does not have all terrains, it came with all weathers. Given its a lease, I'd prefer not to sink a bunch of money into a set of all terrains when I only have the truck for two years.

Does anyone have experience with stock jeeps on all weathers hitting ORV trails or would I be making a huge mistake? I'm assuming the weather conditions would make a large difference, and if so is it something I should only do if the trail is dry?

Any additional help and recommendations are appreciated!

Welcome @MIGladiator ....Stock Jeeps can run light trails well and drier conditions will be better when traversing new areas for the first time. Driving slow and steady in 4WD will pay dividends in avoiding damage to the Jeep and the trail. Regular tires will have less traction off-road and will be more susceptible to road hazards...ymmv

Post some pics of your new JT. Curious what the lease terms are for the buyout option after the lease ends which usually is based off future residual value (an unknown).

As with any off road trip, be prepared for a flat tire and how to either change it or repair it. You could find a local Jeep club as they all have websites. Getting stuck in the bush alone is nothing you want to do.

The fantasy that Jeeps (well at least real Jeeps,CJ's) can't run a trail without massive modifications is just that fantasy. Any time something like this comes up I just say I ran Rubicon in 1983 in this.
