Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has replaced their front seats on their YJ with bench seats. I read in a Facebook forum where several people were replacing them with Ford Ranger seats and several others. I tried doing a search here to see if there is an existing string but couldn't find any thing.
So, has anyone made this kind of swap and if so, what did you swap in? How much modification did you have to do to make it fit, etc?

Is this a stick shift or auto?

After installing a Tuffy locking center console in my YJ the cushioned top lid could have made a decent seat if I was able to figure a way to have a center seat belt. Off-road at slow speeds someone was able to sit there but it’s not a recommendation without proper restraints.

In the articles I read they used a Ranger front seat with the center fold down arm rest and were using them in both straight shift and auto. They said there was no modification that had to be made. There were several different car seats being used but it seemed that the Ranger was the main one.
