None, bought it new in 1978. Her name is Sara.
Hey everyone, I just found this forum. I bought my 1978 CJ5 new after I graduated from basic training in late 1977 and still own it today. It is still basically stock. I added a hard top in 1985 and I replaced the stock distributor with a Mallory in 1987. It has a 304 V8, 3 spd manual trans. I have rebuilt the engine, the transmission and transfer case back in 2001. And now I am starting on a new fuel system, replacing the steering box and going to redo the brakes. I do all the work myself. I am a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic. I enjoy all Jeeps and have driven my Jeep hundreds of miles off road over the years. Took my Jeep on our honey moon and have been married 34 years now. Be safe "Top down Wheels Down" Bill.
