After a 3 month search I finally found an old Cherokee that is exactly what I wanted. It is a 2000 with a proper lift and a lot of the goodies done. A 4.0 with automatic and 4 wheel drive. Now all I have to do is get this smile off my face.

Great choice, I have watched quite a few master drivers do wonders with those.

Congratulations @Silentrunning ...I think an XJ is the only way I can sneak another Jeep into my house without being in the doghouse

The cleanup continues. I still haven’t decided what to do for a rear bumper. The hood also needs some serious work. The clear coat is blistered bad.

    Nice looking XJ.
Not sure if you are aware, the 00-01 XJs have a head that is known to crack. That's not to say it will but it is very common so be very cognizant of the engine temp. On that note I had an '00 XJ with 246K+ miles and it was a great Jeep.
