I put a 4.0 from an 87 Cherokee Laredo into a 95 Cherokee Sport

    swap engine
    I put a running 4.0 out of a 87 cherokee laredo into a 95 cherokee sport , only changing intake manifold. will not run at all now. Any help on what else I should have changed ? everything looked the same except for the intake . should I have changed the flywheel for the crank sensor . Cant figure out Help

    There's like a 100 issues that could result in an engine swap. Especially when there's a 8 year difference in Jeeps and motors. Computer, sensors, etc.
    BTW...welcome to the forum....

    My first thought before I finished reading your post was the flywheel. As long as you re-used all the 95 plugs and one isn't missing the flywheel is all that I can think of mainly because they use different engine management systems.

    To make the swap smooth All the sensors and external accessories from the original vehicle transfer over to the donor in this case.

    I did 5he opposite 97 4.0 into my 92 long as I kept all the obdi stuff I had zero issues
