Software update has been running all day and appears to be frozen. Found a thread indicating I should hold the volume button and the browse button for 10-20 seconds and it should reset. It does not work. I've tried it with the ignition in every position and with the engine running and shut down. Any ideas?

Dealer would be my first choice before messing with system update problems. The 3yr/36k warranty should cover this type of electronic issue.

Unfortunately, the screen stayed on all night and the battery died. We jumped the Jeep and the UConnect screen stayed blank and never responded. The message is gone but the display is blank. Suspect the battery will be dead in the morning again.

I pulled the fuse for the radio #97 and let it sit overnight. Inserted the fuse and it looked like it was updating. The screen went blank and now there is no response from the UConnect system. The climate control works but there is no display and no radio.

Dealer fixed. Had to reset a security module and the update resumed and completed immediately. They are expecting more coming in with this issue and said we were the first they’ve had since the newest release.

I have the same issue, went to get in the Jeep and battery was dead. Jumped it off and saw the message you posted on the screen. Took it to the dealer and they said they attempted to do a reset of the security module first and pulling the fuses ect. Dealer Tech says they are going to have to replace the radio. He said with a refurbished one. Ugh, I only have 3k miles and getting a refurbished unit already. Not good.
Seems like there should be some sort of reboot function.
