I have a 1978 CJ5, all black. It's tough getting in and out without rubbing or damaging the paint next to the seat. Do they make a rubber piece that protects this area? I can only find the bottom horizonal protection. I want to protect from the roll bar down to the bottom horizontal area just to the right of the letter "P". The interior is sprayed with bed liner, I thought of having the area in question sprayed with bed liner, but I don't want to muck this up! Thoughts?

Use some blue painters tape to outline the area desired for bed liner and protect other areas from over spray.

I don't know that I would try and apply the bed liner myself. From what I've read, the DIY stuff is ok, but the professional liner will last much longer.

Practice on a piece of flat scrap metal. As far as durability that area only faces sneaker or butt abrasion

Can the bottom horizontal trim piece be shaped to fit the curve?

I don't believe the bottom trim piece can be reshaped, typically made of metal or hard plastic. I guess the bed liner idea is the best I can come up with. Still looking for help here.
