New to this forum. 1985 Cj7 Laredo. First Jeep, purchased Nov. 2019. I've been working on it ever since. Sometimes it runs, most times it doesn't. Trying to get it to be a daily driver and also take it on trails. Current project is to put an in tank fuel pump on it. Holley strongly suggests doing that and it will also make the fuel pump less vulnerable. Anyone have any suggestions for installing an in tank fuel pump?

Assuming you have the Weber carb and a 15 gallon tank Novak has a decent kit that has in-tank pump/sending unit, gasket, frame mounted filter and pressure regulator (carb only uses 3-3.5 psi). They have kits for the 20 & 21 gallon also, so verify your tank size.
Drop tank and install in place of factory sending unit. You just have to run keyed power to it. Though not required, you can cut the lever off the mechanical pump if it's worn out and clicking on the camshaft.

When you get a chance, post some pictures of the CJ. I always like seeing what people are working on.
