I've seen online that I can put 275/55/20's on my 2012 WK2 Overland but they are very tight. Has anybody tried these? What are your thoughts?

thanks for any info you can give

You should be able to. I Purchased a used 2011 Grand Cherokee just last November and one of the first changes on my list were the tires. It had P265/60/R18 and I had P275/55/R20 mounted on 20”x10”. They fit well as long as the offset is correct I believe. You didn't mention the width of the wheels which also makes a difference.
