I have a question about a dashboard warning light on my 2011 Wrangler Unlimited that is vexing me. This dash light is located just outside of the speedometer at about the 10 o'clock position. The emblem is green, and the warning light comes on without apparent reason, flashes about five times in about five seconds, then goes off. It repeats maybe twice per week. Since I am always driving when it comes on, I am unable to get a photo of the emblem - not even a good look at it! But it seems to be a couple of wavy loops, with the loops facing the speedometer.

I've Googled dashboard warning lights, but have yet to find anything that remotely resembles what I see. Any ideas?

Red is warning, needs immediate attention, like low oil.
Yellow is advisory for things like low tire pressure or low windshield washer fluid.
Green dash lights aren't warning lights. Green is informational or indicating that something like cruise or traction control is activated.
I don't know of a symbol that looks like what you're describing, but if it's green, probably nothing to worry about.

Check the owners manual for the list of dash icons. Post a screenshot after capturing on video.

I'm new to this network so navigating this thing an issue. I'm also a DIY hack and really hate bringing the present vehicle to any dealership for repair or "trusted" shop. What little I have learned with my present 2010 2 dr sport at 220kmi is you will get all sorts of christmas tree lights. I BOUGHT A BlueDriver ODBII scan tool that blue tooths off my andriod cell phone. Its more than paid for itself in repair shop dignostic fees. I suggest you look into the tool. If you have an issue this tool will tell you what the code is. I use this thing so often that I purchased an extension cable for the ODBII port and it end is centered on center of the instrument panel within easy reach.

Your wavy line green indicator on dash is probably associated with your fog lights or if you have auto dimming and you fog light switch is pulled on the green light will go on with high beams turned off. When high beams are on the green light will be off because your fog lamps are off. Or... for more fun (Jeeps are a hobby car) there maybe be a intermitent connection in the fog lamp system causing the fog lights to go on/off hence your dash indicator going on/off.

    Now go play and see.

Yup, I took my own advise and went out to look and the wavy lines and oval is the fog light indicator.

    Merry Xmas!!
