Having a real hard time trying to figure out a good option for a ski rack for a Sahara Altitude 2022 with a Sky one touch.

It seems a roof rack is not ideal given the weight limitations as well as the noise and inability to use the Sky one touch.

Reading other posts in the forums Have the options of over the tire bike racks with a conversion piece for a ski rack however right now (almost Feb 2022) there’s almost nothing in stock.

Additionally looking at installing a hitch and using a hitch type rack has a major downside of either blocking the rearview camera and sensors or having racks that have naked skis and a lot of road salt and debris get into the bindings.

Is there a current good option of an over the tire mounted rack that is in stock (does anyone have any direct links?) Or a good option for a trailer hitch rack that I can still have the ability to use the rearview camera and also cover the skis to avoid the issue of all the road salt and debris?

Jeepers tend to innovate or come up with solutions for the jeep they own. Since you mentioned the top and rear sections of the jeep are obstacles IIRC there was a steel molle panel install on the rear side window that could support some weight. For the JK a shelf rack was available from Tera Flex that mounted on the rear door/tub above the spare tire.
