    Hey everyone! Looking to upgrade my steering box with a Durango box and all linkage, any suggestions?

    Supposedly a Chevy S-10 box will bolt in and is better due to having bearings instead of bushing but there has been some question about the accuracy of that.
    With the Durango box you can't turn as sharp.
    I haven't ever had a problem with the stock box so I didn't see any reason to change, then again I am only running 32"s. Maybe if I was on 35"+ there would be a benefit.
    If you haven't yet, look at a steering box brace as well. I like Ironman4x4fab.

    is it difficult to get a replacement steering box for my XJ cherokee sport 2001 automatic??

    It's kind of difficult to know what your issue is, but if your steering is sloppy, then your problem is likely work out steering box, tie rod ends, drag link, poor alignment, out of balance tires...
